I bought mine from there. Spencer said the 2315 is the meanest prop you can get. They don't recommend it to the average joe because it isn't good at all top end. But if all you do is pull up to 30-35 mph then that is the prop for you. He said it would top out right at 40.

40 miles or 40 kilometres? Per hour?

Pretty sure mph, but I will have conclusive evidence soon. My big order from wakemakers (including my Acme 2315) comes in tomorrow.

Ok I reread this thread and it seems odd to me there is that much speed difference between the 2079 and the 2315 when I think the only difference is the 1/2 in diameter.

2079 - 31mph
2315 - 40mph

If that is accurate and nothing out pulls the 2315 why would anyone go with the 2079?

Here's the skinny. A lot of factors go into fastest top end. Altitude, engine, loaded vs unloaded, people or not, gasoline choices... I don't care if my boat can go 40 or even 35 mph. I rarely, almost never, go over 25-30 mph. They are calling for bad storms tomorrow here, so no install and test tomorrow, but my prop is standing by as soon as its decent.

Clearly the 2079 has less top end and more pulling power?

And running at a lot higher rpm which usually means louder in the cabin (not that louder is a "performance" factor).

I guess that's my question, with the only difference being diameter I would have expected the opposite.

And it has been said before the 2315 has the most pulling power hence my confusion.

Keep in mind that my 40 mph may be 49 on your boat due to speedometer calibration. Along with water temp, water type, specific density, and other issues that spin the paddle wheel can make significant differences in indicated speed.
