Sorry if this is simple ( I dont have any manuals yet and didnt find an answer in searching)...My heater does nothing - No air moving. I didnt see a particular circuit breaker labeled heater and none looked tripped. Any suggestions? Ill pull the kick panel off today and dig in, just wondering if Im missing something obvious.
Is the trailer surge brake backup lockout electronic? My last trailer was a manual switch to backup, but the clip under the tongue didnt seem to help. My Landrover has both type of trailer connectors, but only 4 pins on the type this trailer has (5).
Bonus tidbit - The rover does not like the LEDs either. The lights all blink with the truck testing for the existence of a trailer. Ill have to add some resistor somewhere....
Thanks!! -Doug

Fixed the heater. The orange w/black stripe wire fell off the switch. Its too short and the loom pulls on it. Ill have to lengthen it or it will happen again. I got lucky with guessing switch empty pin it goes on. Im guessing the switch has a 2nd row of pins for a 2nd heater? Anyone add a 2nd heater yet?

The trailer plug uses the fifth pin on your back up lights circuit. It engages a solenoid kind of like a line lock used on race cars to stop the master cylinder from engaging in reverse, without it you can't back up, if you don't have a fifth pin on your car just unplug it and plug the fifth pin to the fourth pin on the car, turn on your park lights and you will be able to back up then

I seem to recall some type of adapter that will correct this problem?

Great tip on the shift the plug - I didnt think that would work since (what I thought was) the ground would be off.
My truck also has a round connector, so I got a $7 round to 5 straight adapter that fixed the backup.Still have the led problem, but not sure Im keeping the trailer.

I have heard about this problem with rovers and the LED lights. Resistors definitely fix the problem.
