I'm guessing there are a million threads on this. Feel free to simply point me in the right direction.

I typically ride at ~24mph. Looking for the best weight setup. I have the plug and play with 750s in the back, floating wedge. 330 engine.

Tips? no problems with slamming the boat. Pretty advanced riding.

I posted this on another site, it's likely too much weight for the 330, it was pretty heavy for my LS3. But I had an 1100 in the bow, a 400 in the hallway and the front plug'n play filled. The 750 plug 'n play in the rear lockers filled and another ~500 sac on the floor. It was slammed for sure. We couldn't put the wedge down like this.
Here's a video how it worked out:

Now we don't weight the boat like that anymore. Usually there are about 4-6 people out when we ride so with that weight in consideration, here is how we settled on our perfect wake, you may not like it, you might love it

All the plug 'n play ballast full.
one 400# sac across the bow against the chillax back rest, width wise.
one 400# sac on the floor width wise.
wedge down.

occasionally we will also put a third 400# sac in the hallway, making at "t" shape with the other one if there's only 3-4 people.

Dan. Here is my set up. When I first got the boat I weighted it as close to how my buddy weighted his 07 VLX because his wake was incredible. I have not changed the weight configuration since day one because I am super happy with my wake and get really really great feedback from everyone... beginners, intermediate riders, and semi-pro's.

Here is my set up:

A22
335 CAT (california motor)
OJ Cinco prop (had OJ Core, and ACME 1235 and others will work too)
750's in rear
950 front pnp under the seats
400 lead in the bow tips all the way forward
100 lead under observer seat.
100 lead under bench seat behind the driver
No Wedge

24.4 mph at 80' (some guys ride mine as slow as 23.6 at 75, or as fast as 25.2 at 85')
ride mainly in 6-15' water

I calibrated my speedo with GPS, it was off by 2mph. I highly recommend it as I have been able to help people with their set ups because I know exactly what mine is.

I have not experimented with weight movement because it was money from the beginning, and I have no wedge to experiment with either. I have found that the A22 loves bow weight so I always suggest to go 50/50 front back no matter how much you weight it, and if you want to run the wedge, you will need more up front to keep the lip firm, IMO.

I do have an approx 800lbs floor sack that I have been using sometimes. It lays flat on the floor and I only use it when I have 2 or less in my boat. With my motor and prop, we have to hit empty on all 4 switches when the rider falls, then hit fill once we are up to about 16 mph in order to plane. I am at 1800 ft elevation.
