The 1615 is not a factory option. Has to be gotten from acme. I would check your prop

I have talked to Bill a few times about the 1615 prop.. This is what he says about the difference between the 1235 and the 1615..

"The Acme 1235-14.50X14.25VL4B 1.125 .105 cup & the 1615-14.50X13.75VL4B 1.125 .105 cup. The 1615 will have a stronger hole shot & run about 1 mph less on top end speed. However we now have the new Acme 2079-14.50X12.00VL4B 1.125 .105 cup. The 2079 will have the strongest pull & holding power of the three props. The 2079 will run about 3 mph less top end speed than the 1235. They all list for $659.00."

So it looks like there might even be yat another prop you can try on the Axis boats. So keep an eye out on the 2079. This might be the best option. I have always run the 1235 and have never had a problem with the holeshot even under really heavy ballast options.

I have added the 2079 to boardstop if anyone wants to try it out.

The 2079 was news to me today also. I had never heard about that prop until I talked to bill about it over email. I can give him a call on monday and get more info on that new prop.

As much weight that we are putting in these boats now the lower the better. I have never had one of my boats at full throttle.. 30-32 has been the fastest I have ever gone so I never worry about losing any top end when I can replace it with low end power.
