My 'beep' on my cruise control stopped working. Any ideas? Is there some way to turn it off/on?

I was going to text you back, but it is too long to do that.
I can't recall right now if the boat makes any beeping noise when you turn the ignition to "on" before starting the boat.. I think the same alarm speaker is used for the cruise, depth warning, water temp warning, and all other audible alarms. I believe its built into the tach/computer. I do not know if it is possible to turn the audible alarm off, i would guess no. So if everything else is working fine, you may just have a faulty alarm. If you have a depth finder, next time you are out near a beach, turn your ignition on (motor off) and walk your boat as shallow as you can and see if you can get the depth finder to alert you. this may help diagnose the problem, whether it is with the cruise only, or with the actual alarm.
