Add me to the list of people the 335 is doing well for. I'll probably toss on a 1235 prop in the near future to improve hole shot, but we really don't notice an issue with the current prop (we aren't super loaded down either).

That prop will only go 34 loaded, unloaded it doesn't matter, the engine is at max speed at 34, I like to cruise it at 25, at around 3800-4000, I ride at 21 which is around 3100-3200

I have 2009 Axis with the 335 and ACME Prop. Honestly, I would go with more power. Although not immediately necessary, you dont want to have issues later when you want to add more weight (led plates, p'n'p, sacks, wedge, and 10 people).
Again, the 335 is just fine, but if I could go back, I would probably have went for more power

I am now running 3000# plus the factory and usually have 7 or more people. I like the 335 and low prop if nothing else but fuel economic and I still have a great hole shot.

dbragg. your at #3900's total? so you have stock, 750's in each locker, bow sack, and 500 more somewhere?
please tell me your setup, wedge or no, high alt prop or core?
my plan is for 3900 (500 in lead in bow), core prop, 335, no wedge... it gets here in may and I cant wait to set it all up.
thanks

I am running the 335 HP , 14.5x12.75 acne, the lowest they make, I have 1100# fly highs in the rear. Mushroom sack in the nose, and I lay a 400# sack in the nose. And of course the factory ballast. I have a jabsco pump hooked up to the rear sacks as well to help fill and empty them quicker. If I run the I don't usually run the edge because I like the big ramp wake. wedge I have to add another 400 to the nose or its too steep to ride.

We have the 400hp engine and it is a must. I also live in the Denver area so I am at elevation. Our local dealer won't even order an Axis with P n P without the 400hp engine. We have the high altitude prop on ours and it will top out at 43mph.

I want to try to clarify a few things with the Axis props. We offer three props from the factory.
The standard prop is the Acme 537 (13.5 X 16) Top speed with the 335 is somewhere in the mid 40's The high altitude prop is the Acme 1235 (14.5 X 14.25) Top speed with the 335 is somewhere in the low 40's The core prop is the OJ (14.75 X 13) Top speed with the 335 is somewhere in the low 30's

Hey Matt. That is what you all offer. The prop I got was from Bill at acme which is a lower pitch. It does do a lot better out of the whole as I have compared it to Garys and Mike B's boat that pulls the NWL in Ky. Love the Axis by the way ! Hope to see you all at Wakefest in Tn again this year.

I ordered my a22 with the "core" prop that is supposed to be the acme 1615, no mention of an oj as the core prop or an option. I will have to confirm this with my dealer
