I'm having some custom ballast bags made here locally in town. I will be using them as a prototype, and if they work, it's game on. They can be made in any size dimesion/weight capacity. They can also add any custom straps/D-rings and logo/artwork to the bag. I will have them put the Axis graphic on the side with some surf graphics to show. Once the prototype is done I'll post pictures and see if we can get any interest from the forum.

Be careful of copyright infringement IF you are using the "Axis" logo...just saying. Not trying to rain on your parade but there are companies that might frown upon someone using their name on a product they did not authorize.

Like I said this will be a prototype bag. The "Axis" logo was just an idea. Keep in mind this bag is not going to be sold to me or offered to be sold to the public with the "Axis" graphic. It will be my personal bag. Not really different than having a custom Malibu sticker made to put across the back window of your truck.

So what sort of specs were you thinking of for your prototype?

Your comment about "if this works, it is game on" lead me to believe you were planning on marketing them. I'm abo[ut 99% sure that copyright infringement doesn't apply to personal use. Sheesh, how many people have Harley Davidson tatoos?

I have tossed around the idea of making a hard tank for each side that is the size of each rear compartment and comes up about half way, so you still have room for smaller coolers, life jackets and stuff.

Weird!! My wife just asked for this very thing this morning over breakfast. Do it, and Ill buy two.

I wonder if it would be easier to have someone fiberglass in some tanks with fittings. Thats how they do the gas tanks in bass boats.

Just make sure you leave room for the mechanics to do maintenance on the motor...

Good point. AND Since I do most the maintenance, MUCH appreciated. Something removable like a hard tank IS a better idea.
