Just wondering if anybody has one and if it is better than just a regular mooring line.

Yea i seen an ad for it because im looking for a anchor system. Can you anchor off shore and hook a line to the grab handle on the stern of the boat so your speakers point towards shore? to be honest i've never anchored a boat... Or docked one lol. Our lake doesnt have a public dock. How annoying is that.

Yes you can. It's nice because you can throw it in from the bow point, then pull boat in and tie off to shore on transom grab handle.
If using it separately it does a pretty good job with rollers coming in not yanking the anchor out on soft bottom substrate while you're at the cove.

I've been wanting to get one myself. I HATE tying my boat up along side my houseboat. I'm anchored at the end of a slough, yet arseholes continue to fly past me and then stop pulling their rider only 25 yards beyond me because that's the end of the slough.
I talk to them about courtesy but then it turns into a pride thing and they won't concede that they are being inconsiderate, self-centered, arseholes.
So long story short, Anchor buddys are great, they work well and protect your boat too.

Only way to go. Even when I tie up to the side of a dock or houseboat, I use bungee dock lines. Way less stress on the boat.
