The book says change oil at 50 hours. I put 50 hours on like nothing. What is everyone else doing on there boats.

I was told by my dealer to do the first one at 20, then every 100 after that. 50 is for severe use.

I change every 50, but it may be preference and the fact that I do it myself and the oil is FREE (as i work for a Mobil distributor).

I did 10 hrs break in, and then again at 50hrs. and i plan on doing it every 50 hrs. its simple insurance to insure your engine has what it needs

I can't believe how dark the oil was after about 15 hours (when I did my break in service)

Every 50 here. Indmar recommends it every 50 hours (25hrs for severe use). It's pretty easy and cheap insurance. We're running these engines under load and frequently at 3-4k rpms, so I figure the oil gets pretty beat up.
