Just picked up my A20 and my Exile XM7's will be here this week . My question is where and how are you all wiring the head unit to the amp. I would just like to ask before i get under there and start pulling wires. It is the stock 2012 Sony headunit.

I just am finishing installing Exile 4 sxt65's & ZLR with a harpoon amp and just went through this. There are multiple ways. Here is what I did...

Head unit is currently ran through the key. So it turns on and off with the motor. I wanted to use a switch for constant power and when your head unit is connected to the same battery as your stereo you get more power to and from your head unit. So I ran 14 awg red/blk/yellow wires to my stereo battery bank. Fuse the red and yellow wires. Now connect the black and yellow directly to the head unit, don't forget to cap the boat side of the red/blk/yellow when you clip them. Now run the red to the acc switch. plug it into where the orange wire is and cap that one. Run another wire from the empty slot on the switch back to the head unit red wire.

Now your head unit is powered by a switch. Your axis wire harness has the light blue "remote" wire ran to your amps for you. You will find it right above you amp board ran to all your amps. That remote wire will be ran to each amp to turn them all on.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the heads up but mine will turn on with the Acc switch on. I may have misunderstood. I just want to figure out which wires to hook to my amp and how to run them to the amp. Currently have stereo pack one with no amps.

Look at deck paper work and it will show you the remote wire and color. Usually blue or light blue. Run that wire to your amp remote terminal. And your good. Now that blue wire should be ran for you with the factory harness. They use the same one in every boat no matter the options.
