Hi Guys,
I was told by my Sydney dealer that Wakesurfing is illegal in Australia. He told me a few blokes have received on spot fines up to $1000. They say that cause there are alot of leg boats it is dangerous if you fall off so they had to bring in a law that says no to everyone. This sucks but can anyone tell me if this is true or not?

Thanks Dazza

I did a search on this. Seems to be true- but depends on the police on duty. here's a link I dug up- didn't go through all the links in post.

Yes, have heard this is true from a mate in Sydney, but he has also told me that if you get to know your local water police well, they are understanding and will not give you a fine if you stop wake surfing when you see them coming.
