I was thinking about tinting the windshield on my A22 when it arrives. I have never had the windshield tinted on my other boats. I think it looks good and my keep the dash and drivers area cooler during hot summer days. I was reading other forums and there was a thread regarding 20% or 35% tint. I do some night driving on my lake and its hard to see even without the tint. What do you guys think. Send some pics of your boats with tint if you have some. Thanks.

I wouldn't go any darker than 15% for sure. Any darker an it's like looking in a mirror the whole day. 35% is pretty light but might be good for night driving. I put 5 on mine thinking I could deal with the reflection but it didn't last long so I put 15 on it , luxury of being a window tinter u can try out what u want. 15 works great for me but I don't have mine on the water at night much but if u have the flip up seat u can look over the windshield, at least that's what I do if I happen to be out after the sun goes down.

Thanks. I do have the drivers bolster seat that flips up so we should be good. What's a good price for the windshield of the A22. I was thinking around $250. Thanks again.

Mine are tinted I'm not sure what % but it's kinda a love hate relationship. I like it alot as far as appearance but it makes driving difficult. My lake was a man made lake and has really dark water so it makes seeing thing in the water difficult during the day and almost impossible at night. Sure you can look over the top window but it's not fun driving at speed and taking a bug to the face. So I'm torn I probably wouldn't have done it but the boat came with it already on.

I have 5% on mine, and we did Dustins A22 on here also. If you are seeing a reflection your tinter is putting the tint on the outside of the window or using a crappy film. We are window tinters here at Best Buy. I use Lumar film.

Ok. So make sure the film is on the inside of the windshield, so there is no reflection, and use a good film.

Gibster is right on. No mirroring or reflecting into the boat or when viewing from inside out w the lumar film installed inside the window. I've got 5% on mine.

Tad, I have been wanting to do this too. I was waiting for the wife to drive ELC's A22 with 20% i think, to see if she likes it, but I can't wait any longer, I am going to do it. So, lets get a two-fer deal going with someone... would be rad if a mobile tint could do it. If you know of someone with a big enough garage so we could have them do it indoors??? Let me know, I will go whenever and wherever you decide to go.

Joey. thanks again for the speakers. I hooked them up to my car and they don't sound good, way too underpowered off the head unit, so now I am currently bidding on a cheap little amp on ebay to power them. They all work and look good. Thanks again, you rock. And your boat with 5% looks sick.

I have 5% on mine. Looks awesome, but can't see squat through it. We sometimes have debris and I usually drive on seat bolster.

I have 5%. I love mine. It makes a huge difference. I have a 2010 and doesn't have a ipod cubby, so I put it on the dash. It will stay cool all day. Cost $100.00.
