					| Boat has been running good up until yesterday.Right after "start" i got an "Engine Fault". Then after a few seconds
said "Service Required" with the bell icon.
It was running fine so I got on plane to go back to the dock. After about 10 minutes the engine went to idle (uncommanded) then would only idle. Any ideas? Engine sounds good so I'm thinking sensor?

					| If all your vitals look good then likely a sensor. I had mine do something similar and I must have sucked something up in the water inlet for the motor. "Coolant" temp got a little warm, anything over 173 will set the alarm. Turn your batteries off for a little while and see if that might clear it, worked for me. If not you may have to take it to your dealer to have them diagnose it. _________________

					| Thanks, I'm thinking cam, crank or mas airflow sensor. The RPM gauge did spike right before it died to 3000 RPMs but the engine did not that's what makes me think crank sensor.

					| The going into idle uncommanded is called limp mode or safe mode. I'm assuming that axis has this as most new vehicles have this feature. When the computer see something out of wack it limits overall function of the vehicle so it won't cause any damage. I have seen in cars where the safe mode limits rpm like yours but will also limit the car to 1 or 2 gears _________________

					| Well I just read on a MEFI forum to turn the key with the throttle in WOT and that clears the code. I tried it and it worked! I have been running it now for 20 minutes and its still clear so I think I'm going to go try it out. Hope it dose not come back and we have to paddle.
