I have a 2002 Malibu Sportster LX and I am looking to upgrade with a bigger boat that we can use for wakeboarding and skiing. The local dealer told me that I would be happier with the Malibu Wakesetter VTX for skiing. We are a basic skiiers and wakeboarders so I wondered if he was just blowing smoke?

I can't really comment on the VTX for skiing since I don't ski.
The A22 is substantially larger with a very versatile wake. Our Axis does not have a ski pylon so when the one person that goes with us Ski's, she does so from the tower. The wake really flattens out to hardly anything with no weight or wedge.
We were looking for something with more space then our previous v-drive, handles good in chop and had a wake that can easily be scaled for all riders. The Bu LSV fit what we were looking for except for the price tag.

If your are wanting to ski and board the A20 would be your best bet in an axis. there is an option for ski pylon now.
