Took my boat out for the second time since I bought it on Friday only to be stranded on the water. Pulling back up to the ramp and the temp alarm went off so I shut it down right away and loaded it by hand. The temp got to 210. They just replaced the impeller so I was confused. I just took the impeller and housing off and found that the impeller was ok but scratched up on the brass teeth. It looks like the shaft bearing in the housing went bad. Is that common for a boat with 600 hours for a raw water pump to fail?
