We have a 2018 A24, and occasionally the surf gate will not deploy. The arrow on the dash will blink. It seems to happen after a surfer goes down, I bring it back to idle for the turn around so the gate is auto returning before this happens. The only thing I have figured out to do is to stop and re-launch which seams to work. Anyone else have similar experience? or have any ideas why this is happening.

Ok so yes I know all about your issue.. surf gate is controlled by relay pack .. located on back side of fuse panel on transom by rear ballast ...but is is more likely how you are set up and running ... so are using cruse control and and what are your setting ... also you can push buttons faster than the gate can react kind like your smart phone to a old Nokia 5600... so basically if you have it on auto and you go and rider falls before the full process is complete and u stop you can confuse it ... I have so many issues with the gate I have spent a lot of research on this .. for a better answer I need your gate use technique are u starting off at c then hitting gate or do you go back to c to swing back to get a fallen rider ... or ?

For what it is worth. The book stated the surf gates will only deploy from 3-17 mph. I hope that helps. I will be doing allot of playing with the boat this weekend. I am learning myself. Love it!

thanks Maxis.
Yes, I believe that's where / why the boat can get confused. You speed up quickly to raise the surfer, the gate STARTS to deploy, but then you quickly slow down. Now what is the computer thinking?
I'd recommend allowing the gate to fully deploy before slowing down, and then allowing the gate to fully retract before turning around.
