What do you all think on these two systems? I think I am interested in one or the other. Have not made up my mind. I want to lean towards the 3-Some setup. I need some input. If I do this I will be changing my whole system besides the headunit.

Have you listened to the REV series?? With them you can listen close and at wake length. The pro80's are a little harsh up close, but if I were you, I'd do dual 485's with 2 syn2's or 2 arc audio ks300.2, IF you weren't considering the REV's.

So you would do Rev10s over 485's and the 3 some system? Even if cost was not an issue?

I like the sound of the Rev10s on my new boat. The 3 some is just so big and takes up a bunch of space.

Rev10's over 3some. Two 485's will be louder, but I'd go 2 pair of Revs or a pair and then a Rev410. As soon as mine gets her, I'll post it up.

Nasty, I think I am going to go with the Rev10's and a Rev 410. How much power are you running to them? I am not gonna mess with wetsounds amps, there technology is no better than what I am putting in cars daily. I love there speakers because the compression driver they are built off. I will be using kicker amps. Post pics up as soon as you get that 410.

I'm running two arc audio amps for them. ks300.4 to the pair of Rev10's and I have a ks300.2 that'll be going to the 410. 1400w on the tower.

Which kicker amp are you going to use? I use the a couple IS series for the sub and cabins.

I did edit this post as I have changed my mind.

I would run the IX1000.5 for my sub and 6 cabin speakers. The front 2 speakers in bow would be connected to their channels at 4 ohms. I would run the rear 4 cockpit area in parralel make it 2 ohm loads on 2 of the channels.

I would run the IX500.4 bridged for the two Rev 10's up top.

I would run the IX 500.2 bridged for the 410 up top.

I get these amps stupid cheap. Like I said earlier Wetsounds has their technology into there speakers, specifically their compression drivers. This is why they can run such a full range through there speakers louder than normal listening volume without distortion. All kicker product is marine certified too.

I used to run all kicker. I had the 6500.2 setup and powered it with an ix500.4 bridged. Sounded good, but didn't project as much as i would like and they were really high/harsh up close. I ran the ix500.4 xover at 160-170. With the rev's, the amp is set on 50Hz and crystal clear at low/high volume. I know you'll be happy with them.

The 6500.2 setup is garbage. I got a chance to hear one. I have installed the old kicker cans and they have not got any better. The system must have distorted a ton if you were running your cross over at 160+. At that range your essentially losing so much of the low and midrange of music.

Its insane you are running the rev 10s at 50hz+. You are picking up very low range and blasting out those speakers. I am excited now knowing you are not experiencing distortion. I have been thinking about it all day now on how to set the amps up. I can get that IX1000.5 for right at 200.

I don't think I will need much more sound than that. I want to put the kicker 5 channel in my car. I have a factory living loud system in it. I want more. Its been forever since I have had a system. Boat is the closest thing in a long time.

Nasty can you take a pic of your amp rack? Possibly shoot a walk back from your boat video with the rev10s at a little higher than normal listening level. I am interested in seeing how far you can go back.
