So as many have mentioned, the T23 seems to like oil. When topping off oil what do you guys use in a 2016 t23. Also should I check levels cold prior to start or after cranking and cut off?

If you live in the south, go with Pennzoil SAE 40, if you're further north and have mornings lower than 60 degrees, stick with 15w40 but you're going to need to top off more often.

Yes Ive ran it in my last few boats with no issues. I tried pennzoil in this one but it was using more oil than gas. Went back to rotella

My dealer recommended I switch from the 15w40 to the Penzoil SEA 40. I have a 2016 T23. I have put 40 hours on this summer and have added 4 quarts. The service manager was telling me they are starting to recommend oil changes every 30 hours which seems a bit crazy to me. I didn't have to put anything in for the first 20 hours this summer. I have to check the oil every time before I take the boat out and now keep a quart on the boat just in case.

How much are other people needing to put in? My last boat (not an Axis) would go all summer without an oil change or having to add oil. I realize every boat is different but this is the one issue that bothers me about my Axis.
I boat in North Carolina.

I have a 2016 A20 with the 350 and have to add 1 quart every 10 hrs. I've had a 05 MC X2 and 06 xstar that never burned oil.
