2012 A22 with factory sub with the plastic panel. Ripping that out and Going to have a local stereo place build a custom box for Wetsounds XXXV2 and new amp rack for room to add a 3rd amp

I have a heater, is the sub box going to need to be removable for the dealer to winterize or access the heater?

Just seeing what other people have done with heaters.

Thanks

Most people just turn the regulator down on the air compressor and blow the heater out or if it's got a closed cooling system like the 450 you don't touch the heater hoses. Just the fresh water intake stuff

The dealer will pull the water line off the engine and blow it out there, no need to remove the sub. You'll only ever need to get back there to add in wires for a WS-420 or such. Well that and any wiring maintenance under the dash in general.

Thanks, I don't have closed cooling . I already have a WS-420 installed. I will not worry about making sure the box and sub can be removed. Just wanted to check to make sure the heater core was not something that would need to be accessed every time they winterize the boat

Got the sub installed and 3rd amp mounted. Impressed by the XXXv2. Anyone else have one installed on the SD2 where do you have the low pass set on the amp for the sub? Image

Yes I am happy with the sub think it will hit a bit harder with a little tweaking of the amp, still playing around with it a bit. Keep me posted where you end up with your gain and low pass amp settings. I got my gain a bit above 1/2 and 60hrz on low pass I believe

My gain is also about half but I'm closer to 40hz. Sub pounds pretty hard!
