Thanks in advance for the help and replies!

I just bought my boat a few weeks ago and had it out the first time this past weekend. It seemed to run and perform well, but I am certainly no expert as I have previously only owned a stern drive.

1. The alarm for engine problems - I did not hear a test sound when in the on position. Should I have? The manual for the 2010 says yes, but I do not have the original manual. If so, safe it to say my alarm is broken and I should replace, correct?

2. The boat seemed to drain a fair amount of water after removing from the lake. I towed my kids on the tube for a few hours and that was it. I make a habit of always removing the transom plug immediately after use, and let it drain while on the ramp (it's never busy so I am not that guy taking my sweet time on the ramp). Is a fair amount of water coming from the holes under the boat normal? I would say only a gallon or 2 came out of the transom, but more drained from the bottom holes.

3. Is there more than just the transom plug? 2010 manual refers to a bilge plug accessible through door in the floor near captain's chair. I don't recall seeing this.

Thanks again. I am sure I will have some more questions as well, and greatly appreciate the help.

For water coming in its probably leaking around the prop shaft seal or a loose or cracked cooling hose on the engine, was the water cool or warm? And yes pull up the flooring and there is a round access panel next to the captains chair and you will see a big brass t handle plug which is the 2nd plug

As mentioned I'd check the prop shaft for leaks. It will regularly drip - I think roughly about once every 10 seconds. That assumes it hasn't been upgraded to a dripless seal. For the buzzer I would check the wiring to it - it may be loose. For the drain plug mine only has one at the rear. Circled in the image - it's hard to see in the image, but it is a T type plug.

I didn't pay close attention to the temperature coming from transom. I saw a good bit draining from holes running down the center of the boat on the underneath side. My guess is that plug may be missing.

I will check and see with the previous owner about prop seal. In my reading, this is something I check while the boat is running, correct?

Thanks again for the pic and replies.

If the plug were missing your bilge pump would have been on constantly. In front of the drain in my image is the intake for the ballast pump. In front of that would be the engine intake which would drain out once pulled out. The shaft seal is checked with the shaft rotating.

The bilge wasn't running so maybe not. I may be over analyzing.

Thanks for the reply and the info - I appreciate it and I learned something today.
