Thats good to know. If you end up coming up with a solution on the modded platform please keep us informed.

Ya im fairly certain my first gen platform doesnt help however i think getting a 2nd gen platform (non surfgate) only reduces the platform in the outer corners. Im not sure how much that would help in a evenly weighted suck gate setup. Im not sure i would be up for putting up the money for a 2nd gen platform to test the difference. My next step will be adding bow weight then making a new suc gate that puts the angle a little closeer to a 45. I would just like to get it the best it can be with the boat that i have.

Don't waste your time with 2nd gen platform. Mine is 2nd gen and I'm contemplating getting it modified. It's better than 1st gen but still too wide and low.

I know a guy who took a jig saw to his and chopped like 10" off of it, looked like hell but it worked, if the edges were only narrower and thinner it would work, the mounting brackets get in the way too, they either need to be shorter or moved in a little closer

Added a 650 on top of the seats in bow and it did add some push and make it better. Adjusted the speed anywhere from 10.2 to 11.8 and also took a little out of the rear starboard side to get a little list and i think i like that setup best. Heres with everything full and no wedge. I do think my platform is knocking down the lip but there is nothing you can do about that. Gonna make a new suc-gate with a different angle just to see what it does and test it back to back with my current design.

i have a major problem with push also. my suckgate is at about 90deg though, i guess i will re-build it with some angle to it. the wave looks great but unless i am like 2-3 foot off the platform i can't go rope less. i have a 13 a20, 600 in each locker and a 650 for the bow.

I have the same boat. No issues with push, wave is great and strong.

Put more weight in the rear for sure, and use the wedge. I am running 900s with the hard tanks removed.

From the video it looks like the boat is going too fast. On my Axis 2010 A22 the REg side is never as good as the goofy side, but its looks better than your pics w/similar weight. My 9YO is 4'8" and surfs at 10.0mph regside (wedge down, full ballast) and its neck high on him:

Goofy side I ride a a little faster 10.8MPH (exact same wedge and weight):

Im assuming you're talkin about my pic & vid. Is your speed gps confirmed or just what the boat shows stock? I just made a new suc gate at a 55 degree angle im waiting to try and see what it does.

GPS calibrated. My suckgate is same size, but at steeper angle.

My new gate is the bobv5 like yours but i went with a 55 degree angle. Any idea what the degree of the plate is kicked back on yours? And i may have asked you this already but im assuming you have the original style platform still? I see that you run the wedge but when we tried the wedge it was aweful and washy.
