Yeah. It sucks when you don't have one.
Mine works great. Only complaint I have is the wave doesn't have much lip. Its tall, fairly long and has tons of push. I'm the same as kx250frider617 where I am always on the brakes. I ran at 11.8 mph (yes it's GPS calibrated) last time out and that's the best speed I've found yet.
My dimensions are 9"x6" with the outside rounded off (like mini gravestone shape ha) at like 80 degrees. I saw a post on Wake World where decreasing the angle helps with lip and increases push.

Also get the gate in the water. I keep mine just barely submerged when loaded with ballast and the angle is flat to pointed down a hair. Play around with position and angle of the gate. I know I've moved mine before and gotten a totally different wave.
