I definitely should know the answer to this, but I don't so I'll go ahead and ask it: Had a guy tell me the other day that the rear pylon on my '16 T23 extends upward for use. I've heard of this on other boats but never really even thought about it on mine. I don't have the boat with me or I'd just go check it out. Does the rear pylon extend and retract, or is it fixed? Thanks.

Update: I was able to verify on a buddy's boat - there's nothing to extend. The rear "pylon" is actually only about 6" tall and bolts into a heavy block of plastic in the engine compartment.

My 16 A20 pylon is fixed as well. I looked at a sanger that had a fold-down one (which was nice) but haven't seen that on any axis.

It is fixed. The malibu goes up and down. I know these are "budget boats" but I would pay extra to be able to drop ours down completely or raise it slightly. Kills the knees.

Since the 2nd ski pylon is fixed we didn't get it in our new A20. We have no plans to ski. If it had been movable up and down I might have considered it because hey why not, but I didn't want it up in the way all the time. We didn't want the "knee killer." :)

Wife loves to slalom and she loves the pylon on her a20, great ski wake for intermediates or less but if you rip, the wave is small but it feels like a brick and it launches me a good 6 or 7 feet to a very hard "thwack" landing making my 31 year reco knee very sore

It's fixed. I refuse to pull anything from a center pylon so I deleted that when ordering because like above, it would just be in the way

I sold mine to a member on here after hitting my toe on it a few times and enlarged all the holes and put 3 big cup holders there. If I wanted to ski I wouldn't have bought a wake boat

Yup and could snag up an old school 2001 or MC190 cheap.
