Has anybody drilled a couple different holes so you could lock the wedge in different spots?

I would probably fabricate up an adjust washer to attach to the bolt that stops the wedge when it was down before I went through the efforts of drilling holes in the bracket.

To make it more like the Malibu power wedge, I've thought about doing this too, but I rarely use the wedge unless I have a bunch of extra fuel I want to burn up!

I never would run a floating wedge. I would only use a wedge if it were powered and then I would always use very little. Just enough to cleanup the wake.

Keep in mind that the floating wedge dies not float, but sits solidly against the bolt at all speeds. Someone put some nice videos proving this last year.

Last season I never used the wedge for surfing. This season a have an extra 400# bag on the bow seats and the surf wave with the wedge is better than without.
