Helping a friend try and fix his 07 xstar. He has a bolt back out of his flex plate (or whatever it's called on a boat) that's an easy fix but we where both surprised on how much grease there was around the starters gears. Not having a zert fitting anywhere around it we are not sure how or why there is so much grease? Possibly someone greased it before? Or is there grease Inside the starter that leaked out? Anyone have any idea? Thanks http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5796302dd2d7c/20160725_082814.jpg

I was actually going to ask this today. Was reading through the manual and like every 30 hours it recommends greasing the starter and I never have...

Anyone know a process?
