doing a little comparing, looks like the 1235 is the same pitch as the 2247, just a 1/2" smaller diameter. is it actually worth having the extra diameter?

For pushing big weights you need the bigger diameter. It helps with holding speeds and also acceleration. You will be pushing more water...so likely you will need to change pitch to make sure you hit your desired RPM's while using it.

Good choice. I may be a little bias cause Eric at OJ gave me a tour of the facility but honestly, tour or no tour I try to keep my engineering mind biased free. From my experience, the acme props ding up easier than the oj props. I swear I have chopped small logs with the oj and it had no damage. The acme not so much. Both perform as designed. The oj feels a little less vibration in my opinion. Beyond that, I own both the 2315 and oj945. Get whichever is cheaper.

the oj being more durable is what swayed me. i boat in the river and it can get shallow, so the more durable the better! the acme is $30 cheaper, at that point its too low to matter.

Ran the 2315 yesterday for the first time. Feels great! Hit 38 mph unloaded.
