I just wanted to chime in for those that are trying to get your wave like mine. I'm running 150 lbs of lead in the nose cone of my boat AND a 1000 lb Fly High (#W706) triangle bag on top of my seat in those photos. That's in addition to full plug and play with 1100's in the rear lockers. If you are running 1100's in the rears and full the boat should sit fairly even when surfing and you shouldn't take any water over the bow. Those photos are of an extremely heavy boat. Also, you need to make sure you are weighted correctly from front to back so that the surfgates aren't submerged. If you are too heavy in the rear and the gates are too far underwater, you will not have good results. 1100's in the rear are no better than 900's if you don't offset the weight with something in the front.

are you talking about not having the surfgate submerged while you are just floating on the water? or at surf speed? if that makes sense?

Surf speed. My wave gets washed out right now because the top of the gate is below the water line.

how far out of the water should it be?

Just to be clear, do you have a 650 bag UNDER the front seats, 150 in the nose cone AND 1000 on top of the front seats? Or is the space under the seats empty aside from the lead?

I am running the plug and play under the seat (it's a 650# bag, but there is NO way it fills to capacity), the 150# of lead and the 1000# on top of the seat. As stated above, she's heavy and drives like it. It will only work if you have 6 or more people and the 1100's in the back full, otherwise you will take water over the bow.

In my opinion and as somebody who's logged a lot of hours, every T-23 (or any Axis, really) should be running some lead or additional weight in the nose cone. Every aspect of the driveability of your boat improves. It turns lower RPMS surfing and wakeboarding, it planes easier, it will ride better in rough water. The ONLY downside is it is a little harder to pull off the trailer when launching and you can feel the additional tongue weight when going down the road. If your pull rig is a full-size truck (I use 2012 F-150) it is negligible.

Also, if you do run lead, don't tell your dealer. They don't like that

Thanks for clarifying that. I'm not sure I can put another 1000 lbs up there. I tried it with 300 lbs of weights plus the 650 bag plus a couple of people up there.

Even with only 900s in the back, my poor little 409 struggles a bit at my high altitude when I have a full boat.

How do you fill and empty your 1000 lb bag? Separate pump and hose or have you hooked it together with the 650?

I too run some lead in the bow on my boat and it's helped quite a bit. I didn't want to run any exposed bag so this is great since the underseat bag doesn't have enough room.

I purchased a 2016 T23 and have added the Wake Makers 825lbs rear pnp along with the sumo sack 650lbs front under seat pnp. With factory and pnp tanks completely full and wedge down it seems hard to get on plane. Do most of you not use your wedge? Is this more for wake boarding? We had driver and passenger and heavy set surfer. Any tip or suggestions would be great

I'm not sure there is a "factory prop" I would look at your build sheet or crawl under the boat and look...Likely your prop is to tall.. lots of guys here with the t23 and 350.

Definitely check your prop. I'm pulling much more weight with my T23 350 motor.
Hard Tanks
Bow Sac
1100's rear
400 in walkway
400 cabin
150 lead in bow
Wedge
Running OJ 945 prop
