Found my usb2 port and it still wouldn't play music from my Android phone. Looks like I'll have to use the auxiliary cord or figure out how to keep my Bluetooth from disconnecting

On another note, is there any reason to run a Wetsounds 420 or any other eq to control towers, cabin & sub with the Kicker HU? From what I have read, the Kicker unit has built in controls. My 420 works great in my 13, except when motor is running. I have a pesky ground loop that I can't seem to fix. I have ran ground directly to battery, I try using an inline filter, I still have it. It is annoying when motoring.

I bought one before I got my boat expecting to need it and it really doesn't, so I'm going to sell it. I really don't want to loose volume control from my remote which I think would happen? And have found no real need for the loud speaker part of it.

The 420 does make adjusting the volume between cabin and tower easier. It also gives volume control to the sub. The PA mic is pretty lame. If your using BT, it is best to run it through the HU. And no, you do not lose the ability to use the transom remote if you have the 420.

the head unit and the 420 need to share the same power and ground, that solved my engine noise issue

Anyone else have thier kicker head unit restart with engine crank? I looked at the wiring and it is directly to the distribution block from the battery, so it must be a high draw during cranking is all I can figure. I Talked to Axis and claim it's a kicker issue and may need to be replaced by the dealer, just wondering if I'm alone with this issue, it is very annoying!

Put your radio switched 12v wire to the acc. Switch

The 12v ign/power goes directly to battery power switch and shouldn't be interrupted by the ignition switch unless voltage drops out.

Does everyones unit stay on even with the ignition key turned off? Kind of strange and if I forget to turn the head unit off before turning the battery off you get a pop through the amps as power is cutoff.

Yeah the HU is designed to stay on when your battery is on even though the key is set to off. I haven't had the issue of the pop through the amps as the power is cutoff, but then again. I don't have any extra amps. I am installing them this weekend. We shall see.

On a related noted, does anyone hate that you can't see this HU in the sun unless you squat down in front of it. Anyone have any ideas for an angled bracket to install behind it to point it upward? I really really need that.
