I have one right rear pump that is tripping the breaker on the fill position a few seconds after i turn it on. It will drain fine.

Is there two separate pumps for each tank? one to fill and one to drain? Is the pump bad or is it possible I sucked something up?

If it is bad how much are these pumps? 2013 A22

Thanks Adrian

Make sure all you wires are tight going to and from the pump at the breaker.

Yes. There are two pumps for each tank. One to fill and one to drain. These are not reversible pumps. If you are still tripping after checking all of you connections, take the look at the cartridge inside the pump. It can get debris in it that would cause it to trip

front drain for my arrow kept kicking the breaker in my 12 A22, pump just was bad. Dealer replaced. I wish they had reversible pumps instead of a pump for full and drain.

Why? Slower and more expensive plus burn up if ran dry. I don't see the upside of reversible personally..

Not to get too far off of the subject but I have to ask. Have you ever had a system with reversible pumps?

No I have never had a system with that, just seems like less parts pumps wires etc wouldn't be bad but I do agree it's more expensive

Yes they suck imo.. well I didn't own them but we added 3 to my friends xstar. I bought my boat about a month later and the first thing he said was he wished he had done aerator pumps because of the speed and price

Fair enough. I respect your opinion but I have had both and am a fan of the reversible pumps. They are just so simple to use and to set up. I see all of these problems that people have with their ballast systems and most are due to the inherent problems of the aerator pumps ( auto draining, auto filling, anti-siphon valves). They are cheap ( inexpensive ) to replace and pretty much bullet proof as far as running dry. It's really a moot point unless your building a system. I just thought that your comment was interesting and one that I don't see very often.

Yea I can see the install aspect but the ability to know when u are empty is enough to to justify the extra tubing and install time. To each there own :)
