Honestly I was too. Especially with them being EFI. someone needs to make an add on supercharger kit for these. Forced induction would not suffer with the altitude the same way.

I wonder if you could go back to axis and get them to swap out the transmission for the one used on the smaller motor? Your hp at that elevation is probably about the same..

It's funny I had that conversation with my dealer and they did not have a very clear idea of why the 6.0l uses the different Trans. I can't really get anyone to give me that answer. You are right maybe a call to them could at least give me that answer?

Personally I would have the stance of the boat will not do what it was designed to do and they need to correct it. Swapping out the transmission is not a huge deal for them to do imo.

I have the 2249 on my T22 w/ 409. Have been struggling a little getting to speed wake surfing when fuel tank full and six adults. Have 750's in rear and 650 front PNP. W/ wedge down. Even with two adults up in bow, I can't get cruise to reach 11.2, it hovers between 10.6 and 10.8 I feel like I need just a little more push to get the perfect position. I have been letting little water out; hate to do that. Will be researching my options. Let me know how 2773 does for you.

Since the 409 still has the lower gearing I would try a 2313, 2315 or the 2419. All are 15x12's just different cups.

The boat came with a 2419. The OJ prop honestly smoked it even though it is an 12.5. I have been working with Eric Johnson directly and it just showed up after being re-worked again and will be on the boat Tuesday. I am very interested to see what it does and will certainly report. My dealer is checking in to see what a trans swap entails (I have to assume it's like doing it in a car but really don't know boat trans set-ups). We will see what they say but I agree that I have been left a little disappointed that my $70,000 boat can't pull a wakeboarder up with full ballast. The altitud is a great excuse until I see my buddies 5yr old tige doing it on the same lake. Very similar weight in the 2 boats.

Also for the record the 409 uses the 1:49/1 ratio not the 1:72/1 that the 350 and 450 use. My dealer told me that their Axis rep says that is because they feel that the 409 is the most popular option and that trans gives good low end and does not sacrifice top speed that way. That the 350 needs the extra push and the 450 has the power to keep the speed up even with the lower trans gearing. I would love to see the 409 with the new trans.

I guess I worded it wrong on the gearing, my point was that with the 1.48:1 gearing the 12 pitch props would be better for him than the 14.25 pitch prop for what he's trying to achieve.

Agreed there for sure. My next step in props from this OJ would be the 11 or even 10 pitch that ACME has out. That would prob yield me a 29mph top speed which I don't think I'm willing to go to. Hopefully between the dealer and Axis we can dial something in before that extreme has to be gone too.
