Went out on my A22 for only the 3rd time this past weekend and noticed that the wedge only locks in the up position but not when lowered. Is this correct? It looks like there is a lower set of holes that the pins will snap in to but there are 2 nuts that block the wedge from dropping in to them.

Am I crazy or is this correct?

Also, got up on my 4th try. So stoked! Need to work on making that wave a bit prettier and buying some ballast.

The wedge doesn't lock when lowered...it sort of free floats .

Yes that is correct, way back in the day it was a different shape and the wedge locked into place. Now they call it the "Auto Set Wedge" and it's free floating. You are not crazy lol.

The wedge doesn't need to lock in the down position. It never moves regardless. There is some video on here from a couple of years ago showing that it never moves from the bottom position. I am still waiting for one of you smart people to invent an adjuster that we can connect to the wedge to make it change angles like the power wedge.

You could always drill a few sets of holes along the support :)

Probably not that hard to fab a actuator to it to make it power adjust.. but never really look at it that close.

I am almost positive it locks in down position cause I hear it click and have to press pins to get it to come up.
