Haven't done it yet but just wondering if the OEM cover is a "Towable" cover or will it or those rachet buckles leave scratches or worse

Mine has been towed a fair bit and I can't see any marks from it.

Cool, thanks for the replies. Towing mine 3 hours to Earmark Marine for some LED transom lights. There's anywhere from 50%-70% of rain the rest of the week so I wanted to tow with the cover

cover, whatever the cost, is totally worth it. It fits so snug and perfectly. The axis has a unique shape, not conventional at all, and the tower can be awkward to try to fit "custom" boat covers around. My last boat had 2 different "custom covers", they were okay, but man, I love my axis cover.
Towing with it should be fine. I towed with it to havasu on the maiden voyage, 5 hours. I noticed that it left a little bit of black something under the rub rail. still not surre what it was, it came off with my finger nail. So on the way home I towed without the cover... took a rock to my windshield and had to replace it. I cant help but think if I had my cover on the way home, the windshield may not have cracked.
I will be towing with it on for now on.

I always tow with mine on. 1- to keep everything in the boat, not that the seats would fly out very easy but I have seen it happen. 2- keeps the bugs off the boat. All I have to scrub is the tower and I hate that enough. I would be sick to my stomach if I had to do the whole front of the boat that way! 3- the more sun I can keep off of it the longer the interior will hold up. Think about it I tow mine 1.5 hours to the lake for the day and back home. That's 3 hours in the sun when I am not using it. And the sun is beating down on the interior. Granted most the time it's after dark but that's when the bug thing comes in.

I have towed my last two boats 30k-40k miles over the last 5 or six years and never towed with a cover. The only issue I had was tire tread came up and hit my last boat. The cover would not have helped. I have always been scared that thing is going to fly off and wrap around another car (not so much with the axis cover).
