Anybody have a rear folding Bimini attached to tower for shade in back of boat? Don't feel like spending 3000 for z5 and only get an extra ft of shade. Don't want to drill holes in my top rails. Any help would be appreciated.

I've only seen double biminis on pontoons or on the flybridge of a houseboat.

I know it's rare and would have to be a custom job but surprised I haven't seen more with only small biminis in the front of tower. Buying an A24 and this is holding up the final sale and about to give up on it.

A few years ago there were a couple guys trying the same idea but had an almost impossible time finding a company to do it. The big issue was...1. Finding a fabric company willing to make a one-off design for the fabric and 2. Finding a bimini company to design a one-off frame. I recall a couple guys got it done but they both were disappointed at the final look and mainly the complication of the design that once it was up it wasn't worth taking down to tow on the trailer or were scared to go above wakeboard speed. These were not Axis boats by the way.

I'm not surprised to not see extra large custom biminis or double biminis for wakeboats. There really is no market for it for a company or two to invest in designing and making jigs for making the frames for most of the popular boat models only to have to change up the designs every 2yrs as the towers change. They may or may not have sold a single bimini for that particular model and/or tower.

Honestly I often go out in 105 degree plus weather and never felt like the bimini was not big enough.. and we are always 7-10 people with kids..

Agreed. I live in the middle of Texas. If the boat is not moving we are usually in the water floating.

I love my Z5 Bimini. This is my 3rd boat with a Z5 and I feel like they are well worth the money. Good Shade and I can tow it 75mph down the highway.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll prob just stick to the anchor shade when floating and deal with it when moving. Anybody use the anchor shade?

I've got an A20 so I don't have the same issue but I'd like to hear more about this anchor shade. I'm sure it's exactly what it sounds like: some sort of shade for when you're anchored, but I can't picture it.

Can someone post pics or a link for one on an Axis?
