Howdy,

I am new to the forum and just became a new Axis owner. We got our first boat in Oct 2014 (06 Tige 24V) and soon found out we loved surfing! That being said, it was a job in itself getting our boat to make a good wave so I built a ghetto gate and that helped but we wanted to trade in.

We picked up our new A24 on Tuesday and we are very excited!

We will be taking it out this Sunday and I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. I got the PNP with 750's in the backs and I'm not sure what the front is but, the dealer won't get in the bags until mid next week so I may not get a great wave this weekend with the exception of having 9 people in the boat (some are rather large so I'll stick them in the back corners :).

I originally wanted the 1100's in the rears but the dealer won't install them as they don't want to be liable.

That being said, do any of you guys have an A24 with the 750's set up?

Thanks!

Matt May

900's work really well but 750's are good too. As far as placement of people this weekend,.... Put 3-4 in the front, 2-3 in each rear.

With the gates, you don't need to lean the boat.... A little helps but too much lifts the gate out of the water and makes it less effective. Evenly weighted is just fine.

I agree but I would say 400 lbs extra on surf side is about what I find works best.

Congrats on the new boat. I also picked up my boat from SMG. Great dealership. Where will you be going on Sunday. I think we are going to make a day trip to either Livingston or Conroe on Sunday.

Thanks for the input everyone! SweetLily, we are going to Conroe. We usually go to Lake Bryan in Bryan / College Station but the boat ramp is closed for repair.

Welcome to the Axis fam.

Have you tried Lake Somerville? We are pissed that lake Bryan's boat ramp is closed. From what I hear it won't be back open until July. I'm going to Somerville on Sunday. I think it's a more rideable lake.

Surfaggie, it looks like we are in for some ideal weather tomorrow for boating. We are going to try to launch from lakeview marina around 10am. I'll keep an eye out for you. Here is my boat, can't miss it.

Potatoshack, I grew up on lake Somerville. But we prefer to go to rocky creek park but it is closed due to flood damage.

Ya. I like to load at Birch and we ride pecan cove. Right now I've been loading in at Overlook and it's about a 20 min ride to the spot.
