LK,
I am from Kentucky and I know the guy very well that you are talking about. I was looking at one of the boats and one of my good friends bought one of the boats that he was selling at the end of last year due to him going out of business . He is no longer a boat dealer of any kind and cannot perform warranty work. He is still doing some mechanic work and the pro shop is still in operation. I am not sure why you are upset. You knew when you bought the boat that there would not be any support from this dealer as he would no longer be there. I am sure he is not answering your calls due to the fact that he is NOT an axis dealer. You bought a boat at a big discount, find a dealer near you and move on.
Well , I was told by a fellow member on here that he was at the dealership and there are new Axis boats on his floor for sale and he's not out of business, so I called Malibu / Axis and they assured me he is still an Axis Dealer , so the stories he told me , and his subsequent failure to give me the missing parts ( he said he found the parts ) and overall very poor customer relations are a sign somethings not right.
You can handle your affairs or business any way you like, however I may be old school and believe if a man tells you something his word should be good. Nothing he has told me has been truthful so far nor has he followed through on his promises to provide the parts that came with the boat that I paid for irrespective of what I paid for the boat they are my parts.
You might feel a little different or have some skin in the game, however I am confident that most people who spend 60k on a boat expect some customer service, want all the parts they paid for, need a bill of sale to use the boat and prefer not to be lied to or jerked around for this long.
