If you are wanting to surf then you will need the ballast. If not, drop the wedge and fill the stock and have fun. These are great boats.

*your kid wont need ballast but you will for surfing.

Lake Keowee,

We have the same boat, u have the better trailer, which looks great. We traded in our 2014 with 220 hours on it, so we ride a little bit. We have about 70-hours on the bumble bee, since September. This is what we did with ours. Sumos in the rear-900s, 2015 Fly high up front, 650, most likely only fills up to 500lbs. Once you get good at surfing, u will need more weight up front. When there is 4- boaters or less in the boat, I fill a 650 for the front also. When we have a few more, I put some of the bigger folks up front, when they agree. I love the wedge down for me (200lbs), wife does care about it (130 lbs). It will eat the gas up while it's down. Wakeboarding, we run about half full in all the bags. We had a 2315 prop on our 2014 boat and did not like the 1235 prop on the 2015, so we got the 2313 and it will pull the load of ballast and a full boat every time. You will lose some top speed, not a big deal for us, we live on the lake and have to go 200 yards to start riding. One thing, the Sumos will ruin your engine compartment dividers. I made my own out of treated plywood and wrapped them with black & yellow marine vinyl (@ a angle, the vinyl), but u can get the support brackets that fit in there also. The boat surfs the best if the gas tank is between 1/2 - 3/4s full for some reason.....Enjoy

How heavy are you? I would not buy a red rocket unless you are 250 plus as you will likely hate it.
