I picked up a CWB Keg last summer from a Marina at Norris for $200 and it was the first board I could go ropeless on. I'm 5'10" and 270lbs and we just got our T22 last year. Its still fun for me although I'm looking for something faster. I'll hang onto it though because it was cheap and was great to have to teach friends as well.

I'm interested in possibly moving up to a Red Rocket or a Bazooka sounds interesting....I just only have so many hours riding that I'm not all that great anyways so not sure what I want/need.

I would say this as a owner of a Red Rocket... it is a great board but if you are like me and in the 275-300lb range it is a great board to LEARN on but you will outgrow it fast. Looking back I do not regret it one bit but here one season later I feel like the board is limiting my progression. If I was you I would look to skip the red rocket as you already have the basics down and go to a custom board that you can live with for years to come. That being said I have not gone full custom yet but will be before summer hoping to make the next step (hopefully it does not backfire on me but if it does I will simply go back to my RR until I am ready for a faster more "lose" board)

For reference here is me on my Red Rocket 2ish months after buying my boat and learning to surf (I did learn the year before on a different board behind a Xstar but could not do anything as the wave was small and the board was even smaller)

To bad you guys are not local so you could try out my boards.
