I'm dumbfounded!!! I bought the boat new from them and was even considering upgrading to an A24. At this point I don't want to rush them and give them a reason to say "you wanted your boat back quickly so we weren't able to finish it correctly". But if all the parts arrived more than 2 weeks ago and the only thing they were waiting on was the dash which arrived on Monday, why does it take over a week to install and adjust? My buddy had his jetboat loose a supercharger and had some air intake problems that needed service. His dealer had the boat for 1 week. Problem resolved - happy customer. Truly embarrassing for Long Lake Marina, myself, and Axis (Malibu). Hope the winterization process was done correctly so I don't have to deal with them next year because of failed pumps, heater, or cracked block.

Getting Fed up with my dealer in MD. Has had the boat for 2 months now. Every time I call they haven't gotten to anything but the winterize. The stereo has a squeal in it, which started after they did the 20 hour service(another cluster you know what) . Also there is a screw loose on the panel on the right side of the steering wheel. Also I have some gelcoat issues. A couple self inflected scratches and a warranty fix. I talked to them last week and now somehow I am 11th on the gel coat guys list. It was there the middle of Oct so how am 11th now. I guess I've been to nice to them so they just just put me off. That is going to change this week when I talk with them. Lucky for them it has been a mild Fall so far. Don't like my boat sitting outside this long. Should be tucked away in my garage.

I feel your pain Stew. Hard to understand how some dealers provide quality service while others operate like their doors are shutting next week. My boat was released to me after 7 weeks but the bimini is still a problem, and the horn and depth finder were left unplugged. Good thing I checked it over because the ballast system still had several gallons of water in it. Maybe it's time for you to contact Malibu. Hope it all works out.

My service guy, Waketech, here in Southern California does house calls to the Parker Strip and Lake Havasu City. He has a key to my storage garage and when it is time for some work, I call him and give him my schedule of when I will be using the boat and when it will be sitting idle. Then I get an invoice in my email, and the work is done. He does not just rush thru the annual service, he goes over the boat and trailer and makes sure things are right while there. He wants us to know that if he is our service provider, we can enjoy our boats and not think of maintenance or service.

Here is their facebook Link of you are out west where we still surf in the dead of winter... https://www.facebook.com/Waketech-Marin ... 2/?fref=ts

Well its a new year but they still have my boat from Oct. They finally got some things done to it. Got my estimate for fixing a couple of scratches in the gel coat. $784 per scratch. Said it was because it was in the Metallic. Told them to forget it they aren't that bad. 2 more gel issues trying to get covered under warranty. Can't wait to see how long this is going to be. I said they fixed the squeal in the radio though so some progress. Maybe I will have it by spring. Of course didn't plan on it being outside all winter.

good choice on the gel repair. Honestly, I have never personally seen a metallic gel repair that looks like it was worth $800... it's very hard. Only way I see them done (and look right) is to take the entire metallic gel area out on the same side and redo it all. Then it matches.

stew, did you end up contacting Malibu? Amazing how little regard this dealer has for your boat; he's had it for 4 months!!!

Haven't gotten Malibu involved yet. When I dropped it off in Oct. I had a squeal in the radio when the engine was running. Loose screw on dash plate. 2 warranty gel coat repairs and 2 scratches I wanted a price to fix and figured I would let them winterize since it was there. They winterized it right away and didn't do anything else until late December. Said they were doing all winterizing before tackling anything else.

They finally diagnosed the radio squeal. Not sure how they did that because it only did it when running and since it had been winterized how do they know. Said it needed a part which supposedly isn't in yet. Finally got the warranty gel coat work done late Jan. Said I was 11th on the list which I don't understand how I got that far down considering when I dropped it off.

The thing I hate is every time I call down there they don't seem to know who I am or what's going on even thought I've probably called 20-30 times. I've trying to be patience even though my boat is sitting outside instead of my garage out of the weather. My patience is starting to run thin. Can't get down now for another 2 weeks to pick it up anyway so didn't contact them this week. I received a survey from Malibu that I am waiting to fill out. Don't think it is going to be a good one. If I need any other work done from here on out will probably take it to the next closest dealer since it doesn't appear service is their strong suit.
