Any recommendations on insurance? how much do you insure your boat for? deductables? best overall package?
Who has beast rates and service?

Thanks to all who respond....

I ended up with Progressive for $363. It includes 500 deductible, 100/300 injury liabilty, 60k comprehensive... My initial quote with Allstate and brand X was over $800 for similar coverage.

SkiSafe. I've had progressive for a year but SkiSafe has been a touch more affordable for the exact same coverage.

Lots of factors go into insurance quotes/prices. A lot of northern boaters have a "lay-up" written into their policy for offseason where their boats cannot be used during winter. Coverage, credit rating, replacement cost vs depreciation value, extra coverage above "minimum" coverage, where you live matters. Horsepower on your engine matters as well with some companies. Progressive rates suck in my area. Skisafe is very competitive, Allstate forget about them, U.S. Boats almost doubled when I went from A22 to A24. USAA is good everywhere that I know of.

We have state Farm and reasonable rates to me at just under 600 a year but that includes towing and 250 deductables.

I used Ski Safe. To be fair, did not quote Progressive. I did jack up my liability coverage and have a $500 deductable. Only people with money get sued and if you have to use liability coverage in the event of an accident, base values won't come close to covering. Top tier coverage is about $500 per year on a 2015 A20
