Not sure on yours but on mine I have to undo the Bimini buckles on top before putting it up and than reattach them and snug up after.

Correct r33pwrd, same process for me. However, when I attach the bottom ones first then one of the top brackets / sockets is WAY off.

Not sure why they went to a drilled mount on the same tower when they used clamp mounts previously. I prefer clamp mounts because it allows for slight adjusting on the bimini when the canvas gets a little stretched and starts flapping over time. In addition, I've never liked the angle of the bimini (regular or Z5) as it arrive from the factory or set up by the dealer so clamp mounts lets you adjust to your liking.

Yeah I really like the clamp mount on my '10 also, I hope you get this figured out without making too many holes in your tower

I didn't even know Axis switched to drilled mounts. I like the clamp mounts. This is nice to know for people looking for info on this board.

My 2014 has the screw mounted Bimini that I installed myself, I will take some measurement later today or try to find the install instructions and let you know

that's what forums are for and why I keep paperwork to everything I buy or install, hopefully it uses the same measurements as mine to take care of the issue
