That's about right on the 7'2". My friend has a 7'4" door and his T23 fits

I hope you aren't serious.....cause if you are, I have some special blinker fluid that I will sell you. It never needs to be replaced like the OEM kind.

Power steering is an option, it was for my 2014 A24.

Post a picture of what it looks like then.

Just do a little research Dezul or build a custom boat and you'll find out it is an option on the build sheet. Axis has had it as an option for at least 3 years and Malibu even longer.[/quote]
Post a pic of it. This is the first I have heard of it being an option. It sounds like a gimmick and unneeded feature to me. Inboards have been around for a long time without the need for power steering. I have been on these forums for over 4 years without myself reading issue concerning power steering. I have also replaced a steering cable and know how easy it is and why the power steering option would be a waste of money. I mainly want to see the cheap little unit that someone wastes their money on.

I think most of the boats you would see power steering on are the salt series.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. No hydraulic power steering? I tried an A24 with PS and it felt much easier to steer than my none PS T22. Maybe my rudder box needs the update?

Hilarious! I'm going to get the new Windshield Wiper option on my new one as well as the self parking option!!

I'm glad to have enlightened you both regarding the options of the AXIS line. I've driven PS and non-PS boats the difference is noticeable especially when maxed out with ballast and passengers. Did you even know that you can put plastic bags in the hull and fill them with Kool-Aid to help your boat displace more water? Who says everything on forums is bull?

BTW dezul, what's the cost on the blinker fluid, wipers, and auto drive / park options? I may be interested if we get a group buy discount

Its a friendly conversation. It would be boring if we didn't have them. I guess Walter is correct, it is more of a saltwater option. I still can't see how this option is feasible unless it is a special power steering that eliminates the pull of the deployed surfgate. These boat steer pretty well without power steering.

I guess you notice something I don't when driving the boat. A boat full of water with power steering still drives the same as a boat full of water without power steering. Come to think of it, I have drove two boats with power steering, a Mojo and an X20, neither felt much different than the Axis. I still think this option is up there with the blinker fluid option.

Also to point out, I have been on this forum for over 2 years and I have seen numerous threads of "help me build my boat", this is the first one I have read that discussed power steering as an option. I have never heard of it till this thread. That is also to say when I was looking to buy my boat, I didn't we it as an option then either.

Now you know -

"A boat full of water with power steering still drives the same as a boat full of water without power steering."

They most definitely feel, drive, and respond differently. Basic laws of motion state that the bigger the mass the greater the force required to stop or make it change direction. Same applies to a van full of teens, truck with a load, plane with max. passengers... But if you think it's different for boats we'll kindly respect your opinion.
