So I've been eyeing this boat for quite sometime, however with my job (active duty military) it just didn't make sense since I was deployed a lot. However that is coming to an end with my transfer to shore duty in February.

I've been negotiating for about 2 months now and I finally got it to a price I was very happy with. The dealer was happy to get the boat off their books.

It's a 2015 A24. Options, sound pack 3, tricked out trailer, 350 motor, standard 2249 prop, deck trac (which Malibu forgot to install, so I may get a cash credit and go with gator step), underseat lighting, docking lights, and underwater lights. It has stainless cup holders (which I would've added afterwards). It didn't have the cooler which I've already ordered from Walmart ($33 vice like $200). Biggest things it didn't have were the heater (no big deal for me), and swivel board racks (I'm going to add those sooner or later).

I had the dealer throw in and install sumo 900's for the rear and the sumo 750 for the front.

I'm so stoked to be back in a boat. I sold my 2010 A22 to nutzac on here last September and luckily I was deployed nearly all of boating season so it didn't sting as much as it could have.

I drove to Shreveport, LA from OKC yesterday (6hrs), finished the deal. Then towed it 5 hrs up to Lake Tenkiller, setup my storage there and then I dipped it in the water for about 30 minutes after dark. It now has 1.6 hours on it!!! ;). Then I had to drive back to OKC. All in all, 870 miles and a very long day.

Here are some pictures. I'll put some more on here once I go back up to the lake in a couple weeks for winterization. The lake was still 70 so I may ride a couple more times as well.

Looks sick!! Congrats on the new boat. Love all the lights! I'm planning on adding interior boat lights but those trailer lights are pretty cool too.

Navy. 16+ years and counting. Began as a nuclear electrician and then earned my commission and I'm now a Naval Flight Officer.

You sound like you are a similar path as my older brother. He did 4 years enlisted as a machine gunner in the marine corps, got out and got his degree, went back in as an officer. He has been in about 16 years and plans to retire at 20 years as a Major. He hopes to start a second career. I did 4 years in the air force and got out. I enjoyed being in the military but I knew I was a little too intelligent to stay enlisted despite management suppressing my college goals.

I'm most definitely done at 20 years. I was asked by our community detailer (guy who does the orders and overall manning of our community) how much the O-4 bonus would have to be for me to consider staying in. I told him $250,000 minimum and even then if have to seriously think hard about it. I turned down $100k to become an officer.

My background consists of Electrical, Nuclear, Sales (recruiter of the year in 2006), Civil Engineering undergrad, Aviation, Safety (safety officer for a year+), Security (security manager for my entire squadron, TS and up), and I'm starting my MS in Mechanical Engineering in January.

I don't think finding a well paying job that doesn't travel will be too hard. (Fingers crossed anyways)

;)

At your age and experience, an MBA would be more beneficial...in my opinion. I know you could land a job in Knoxville if you wanted. Hit me up on private message if you are ever interested. I am just a peon engineer but my company is big and management loves former military.

Congrats on the A24, I love mine. In 2014 they didn't offer the lighting in the side pockets of the drink holders or in the bow walkway

Yep, they definitely improved the lighting on the '15+ models. My '13 had annoying white lights aside from the colored underseat lights, and my '15 has blue lighting throughout the boat. Definitely easier on the eyes.

Great looking A24!
