Alright so those of you who are using the heaters how cold do you actually ride? And what kind of wetsuit do you all use. I am new to this cold weather riding stuff and honestly I'm kinda a wimp. I went today and it was comfortable 72 air 66 water. But the temps are not likely to be this high again so I want to judge realistically how much longer i can honestly ride before I start the winterizing

I go every year on my birthday which is a week before Christmas, water is usually in the high 30's low 40's and the air can vary from 40's - 50's. I wear a full suit 5-4-3 which is almost too warm

I rode last weekend with water 59 and air about 55 with just a heater top. With my dry suit, I've gone down to water in the high 40's and air about the same. That's about the point where it stops being fun. Wet hands below that just hurt too much and I hate the feeling of holding the handle with gloves on.
