You could spend less than $1k to get some amazing pumps that would fill/empty your boat fast enough (under 1 minute at 60 gallons per minute or more) so that you can get on plane and then fill bags (and when rider falls, drain them plenty quickly and refill when on plane).

$1000 was just a number I threw out, not sure what the real costs are.

Has anyone filled their bags while cruising? I haven't and didn't think you were supposed to.

I noticed a lot more air needing to be burped out when filling and cruising at the same time. Doesn't seem as bad when sitting still. Filling while underway is pretty common especially for those who have issues getting on plane.

I don't think it would be safe to lower the wedge once you are up to speed, but not sure. If I'm not mistaken, when using the Malibu power wedge, it starts in the fully down position then moves up to your set point once you get to speed.

Hmmm, I didn't know that. So the only point of the power wedge then is so you don't have to initially manually drop it? Auto set is supposed to automatically fall into position to Maximize the downward force correct?

The Power Wedge II helps the boat get on plane. It actually causes lift on the back of the boat and then moves into position when the boat is on plane. If your wakeboarding it's awesome because the wake is tiny when you take off and then all the sudden gets huge. I've been in a loaded 25LSV and it planes better when the wedge is in "lifting mode" than when the wedge isn't down at all. Pretty amazing.

Dropping the wedge while going is a really bad idea! It's either going to just skip on top of the water or catch and slam down which will more than likely tear the set bolts off.

Great info.

The floating wedge on the Axis is all the way down against the stops at all speeds. It doesn't move when underway. Someone posted pics.
