To answer your question, syphon from the dipstick on both trans and vdrive. those are the only two locations. No hidden gear box. I always syphon out into a container that will allow to see how much came out and I put that exact amount back in.

Then on the sea trials, once the trans is hot, I check the stick on both and add if needed.

mine doesn't have the mercon dexron sticker, just the atf only ones next to each dipstick. what do they hold around a quart or so each?

My trans holds about a quart and a half. My Vdrive is slightly under a quart.

I just called my dealer to schedule winterization/etc as well as get some warrantly work done and he advised they don't recommened trans flush but every 100hours. That's about every other year for me, bought our boat in May and have 54hrs on it now. So basically looking at winterization and oil change, he quoted me $340, which sounds high. That's more than I paid for my 10 hour service where I had all the fluids flushed, what all is involved in the winterization? I didn't have anything to write it down with but remember him saying they put stabil in the tank, run it antifreeze through it and then remove the plugs to blow it out? I see there is a winterization how-to on the older boats but has anyone done anything for the 2015+ motors? Might be something I will look into doing, just don't want to mess anything up. First boat here.

I've got a 14. Even compared to the previous models, a lot of the how to' are accurate.

What I did my first year was have the dealer do it but watched the process.

Honestly 340 isn't on the cheap end but not extreme either.

If you do it yourself and are learning, set aside a few hours so you can be slow and methodical, making sure you don't miss anything.

To add on that, dealers usually get so slammed with winterizations, if you approach the guys with a good attitude they won't mind showing you.

^^^Thanks. That's a good idea I didn't think about, I'll see if they can run me through it this go round, I'd definitely like to be more familiar with the boat, and saving money is always nice.
