As everyone else said water depth is critical. I run on a 6-12' deep lake and its crazy to see the wave change quickly through those depths. Our lake averages 8', its horrible but that's what we got. Although my 14 A22 has surfgate, we also list the boat in addition to it in shallow water. Its an improvement but not leaps and bounds or anything.

Let me clarify that we fully list the boat in addition to surfgate, slight list did nothing.

We typically run at 11mph on port and 11.2mph on star. We slam it with the wedge down and 600lbs in the bow. It surfs like a beast.

This sounds good but what depth are you in? I think that is the issue as others have pointed out.

He also has a 2014 A22, not a T22 so different surf waves.

If you fully list the boat doesn't that pretty much pull your SG out of the water!? I have found it is so much better to evenly weight the boat and and play with the bow weight to affect the wave.
