We have had our 2015 T22 for a couple months now. We are limited in water depth where we use the boat. 10-14' We originally ordered boat with standard PNP option (450's in back, + bow bag under cushions). Wave was nice but I was having trouble staying on it (I'm 6'1" 210lb) We always run at 10.6 with above setup.
I swapped out rear bags for 750's and also added another 600lb bag on TOP of cushions and filled everything up. Wave seems nice but not sure how much better or if we should be changing our speed?
Any rule of thumb on this?
Thanks, Jason

Your in shallow water. Not much more you can do. Boat is running out of room to displace water.

So could my wave actually be getting worse due to not enough depth? It almost seems that way... Jason

Yes, water depth makes a big difference. I'm usually in a deep lake but surfed a lake with "bump" that we were crossing where depth went from 20' to 10'. You could feel the push get sucked out of the wave and once we got to other side of bump wave would get good again.
I was surprised how much of a difference it made.

You may also want to list slightly towards the side you're surfing on. I find that helps. Like a couple hundred lbs difference, if that. But yeah, shallow water = no bueno.

Get your surfer out there and play with speed, he or she should easily be able to pick the right speed for them.. my ideal speed will vary .8 mph from day to day. That being said I surf from 11-11.8 (on speedo not gps) and we will vary the same person to person on the same day.

I like a slight list on my T22. I have all the passengers sit on the port side and if I am light on people I run a 350lb sack on that side. We typically run 10.6.

I weight my t22 evenly. I run 750s in the back. Wedge down 650 up front and surf from 7'-10' of water. It def makes a huge difference when you actually have water. However a decent wave is still obtainable

We typically run at 11mph on port and 11.2mph on star. We slam it with the wedge down and 600lbs in the bow. It surfs like a beast.
