So the shaper would divert the water before it hit the surfgate? Was the surfgate adding anything to the surf wake?

I don't know all the details. I think it may have been some type of witchcraft or voodoo? Not sure though!

If you watch the video it appears to really clean up the lip and front section of the wave. I'm down to try something different. Still cheaper than a new boat.

We are taking pre-orders on these. Ronix has a number of these coming in this January. Not sure if they will sell out of these or not but they have been booking pretty good. If you want a gate take a look at the pre-order.

Sell out of the $600 plastic cheese wedge with velcro straps????? Everyone I have talked to about this has laughed out loud. None of my friends are excited about velcro on the boat nor about spending 600 while doing it. Mine and my friends .02

While I don't disagree the fact is people without surf gates have little options..

I see where you are coming from x_40 but there are so many older boats on the market where Velcro is not an issue. If I was still rocking my 1983 Ski Nautique....I could see myself buying one. :)

I totally agree about the ridiculousness of this, but I have also seen some of the Frankenstein surf gates my buddies have come up with. Most folks dont have the skills and tools to build one. I think these will probably sell (and ill try to keep the laughter to myself).
