I have a 2016 T23 with 31 hours now and have added oil two times now. 1st time at 16 hours the oil level was off the stick. We changed the oil for break in and filled back up. I added again this morning at 31 hours 1/2 a quart. Anyone else having to do this? It's the 350 motor.

Do you have oil in your bilge?

I had a similar experience with my T23. I used oil and also had a leak with visible oil in my bilge.

My guess if you don't have oil in your bilge, you used the oil during break-in. I have 85 hours now and the oil has been stable since the leak was fixed (@30 hours on engine).

Let me know if you have oil in your bilge and I will help you further.

I have a 15 A22 and had to add about a 1.5 quarts at 60 hours. We did the 20 hour service and I watch the oil religiously. We have 84 hours on the boat for the season and never had to add more. I have it on my list of things for dealer to check out as I found no oil in the bilge area and found this a bit unsettling since we weren't really doing much surfing over the week's vacation where we needed to add the oil.

Burning oil is not uncommon if you are weigting the boat heavily. I use about 1.5 - 2.0 quarts between oil changes depending on how much boarding im doing and how heavy i go with my ballast.

Well said. It can be even worse if it is loaded down heavily and you don't have a torque prop and are really pushing the motor hard.

2013 A22 - I am usually down a quart or two by the middle of the summer and another at the end of summer. No oil in the bilge. I called Indmar and they said that it is normal for weighted boats. They get asked this question a ton. I was really concerned about it the first two years. No oil in the bilge, no burning oil smell. Just gone. It is normal

Yes it is, especially during the break in period. However if it get worse you may have an issue. It actually should start using less once you get to 25-30.
