Non-Skid Deck Things for A22 - need good picture

I have a 2014 A22 and I do not have the non-skid pieces at the front of the boat. In February, my wife stepped in from the dock in her flipflops and slid in. Broke both bones just above the ankle, ten screws and two plates held her together for healing. It was a real mess. I think I want to put some non-skid down so I will not ever do what she did.

I want to make my own by laser-cutting it from a griptape (I have a scroll cutting and engraving laser in my garage). I will probably toss in the AXIS logo so it looks cool. I think I will match the OD to the ones that Axis made, but I do not have a good image showing the shape.

Can someone take a photo of theirs looking nearly straight down? Maybe a second picture with a ruler or tape measure in it for scaling?

Thanks in advance. If it comes out good, I will post pix of my homemade version when i do it.

Have you thought about Gater Step instead? Is the Front on the '15 the same as a 14'? I can get a couple of pics today.

I would not do grip tape. My boat has the factory deck trac. Looks like grip tape from a distance by its actually more like thin textured rubber. Not sure what the cost is but your dealer could probably get you a perfect fitting piece for your boat.

Other options I would look into before using grip tape:

Seadeck
Gator step
Hydro turf

+1 for Gatorstep. I added this within weeks of taking deliver on our boat. I did not like the look/feel of the factory deck stuff but wanted to have a few areas be non skid for stepping on/off the boat and went with the GatorStep. LOVE IT. Probably going to do my entire floor come winter with it.

First off, although I do produce laser-cut skateboard grip tapes commercially, I will not be using "sanddpaper" grip, but rather a rubber material somewhat similar to the Axis ones. Not all tape that grips has mineral embeded. If I were doing a major layout I might consider GatorStep's scraped material, but I am only adding the 2 pieces so it would be easier to make my own with the logo and such built-in. Also I will produce enough that I can replace them if they ever start to peel. They will always look new.

So anyone got a picture?
